I’m a User Experience Leader with experience in a variety of industries such as finance, military, B2B software, events, higher-education. My passion is educating and mentoring others about user experience and accessibility. I like to step into other’s shoes when designing experiences and learning about the mental model of a user. I believe in using the design thinking method in my projects and everyday life. I often ask myself, “how can I make it better?” and “Is there another way to do this?”

My opinions expressed are my own and not those of the Federal Reserve Bank.

Recommendations

“I had the pleasure of working with Rachel while managing the UX design team at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. From the moment I met her (during our video interview), I knew she would be a phenomenal addition to our team. She asked as many interview questions as we did…which is exactly what I needed on the team. Rachel is the type of person who can go into any situation, inquire, and come out with greater insight. She has the heart of an artist, with the drive of a business professional. She builds rapport with peer engineering teams, and I came to trust her abilities to build new opportunities with our business partners. So I recommend Rachel as a team member and a leader to grow any design operation.”

“Rachel is a well-rounded individual talented in both design and front end development. She’s constantly learning, always looking to level-up her skills. I worked closely with her in a fast-paced in-house environment where she put her abilities to work on website overhauls, landing pages, campaigns, email designs, infographics, and branding projects.”
